About West Adams. Founded in the late 1800s, West Adam’s is one of L.A.’s oldest neighborhoods. Developed by railroad magnate Henry E. Huntington, West Adam’s was once one of the city’s wealthiest enclaves. Driving through the neighborhood you can’t help appreciate the many Victorian mansions and Craftsman bungalows. With the coming of the Metro Expo Line and its convenient proximity to both the Westside and Downtown Los Angeles, West Adams is experiencing a renaissance with new residents, office tenants, retailers and restaurants.
